RE: No white gloves for Margaret's house
nboyblue, BoomZap is no longer responding to questions and will direct you to BigFish Customer Service who will tell you there is no fix at this time and go to the game Forum http://forums.bigfishgames.com/forums/show/3527.page

Dump the game and restart it. Its been five months and no fix. Personally, I don't think they have any intention of fixing the mess that the 1/05/15 update created or it would be done by now.

Come over to the Big Fish forum for answers to inquiries.

Here are a few of the threads about this very topic. Know that it extends to any quest where there is a FOUND object that is then used in a different location. Do not turn off your game between finding something and using it.

For people that missed the warning before:

CRITICAL HINT- Once you actually have the item and the quest to use it DO IT
Don't close your game and think you can do it later - the found item is coming up missing.

RE: No white gloves for Margaret's house
I also had the gloves and lost them. However, I didn't close the game and they didn't appear at Margaret's house. I've been in the game under other accounts and acquired the gloves and Margaret's house with no problem.. I really don't want to close and restart but oh well. If that's what I have to do I may just uninstall the game and say the hell with it. Especially now that there will be no further updates. Thanks for the fun, while it lasted.

Really do love the game - but now appear to be at a stalemate.............

Sorry to hear it didn't work. I've informed the team about this, sorry we are unable to provide an immediate fix. In the meantime, perhaps you can continue playing other quests in the game?

Thank You for informing your team. I've had this issue as well with the gloves and I don't want to restart my game from the beginning. But I'm at a point where I can't do anything because I need to be able to play in Margret's house. Can you tell me when a fix may be available, a ball park time frame, so I know whether to just give up and dump the game or hang in there.Confused

Hi Cherry!

Unfortunately we are unable to help. Sad We are aware that some players are experiencing issues with inventory items used in unlocking miniscenes. Bug fixes are usually implemented through a new game version/update. However, Big Fish Games owns the license to the Antique Road Trip series and they have decided to no longer continue them with us, thus no more further updates to this game will be made.

Perhaps you can try some of the workarounds suggested by the other players? Our apologies for the trouble.

RE: No white gloves for Margaret's house
Hi everyone!

There is a quest called "Old Friends, Fresh Memories" when you finish The Missing Miner quest and reach Level 28. In this quest, you will receive a task to find protective gloves, which you can get at the Doll Shop HO scene. Once you do play the HO and receive the item, the gloves should appear in the upper left corner when you visit Margaret's House and you can use this to unlock the miniscene. The Margaret's House HO is unlockable at Level 32 even if the quest to find the miniscene key (gloves) is already available at Level 28.

However, we are aware that some players are experiencing issues with inventory items used in unlocking miniscenes, like in Margaret's House. It is an existing issue in the current version of the game.

We have previously added a fix wherein the game checks if you have already completed a quest to find the miniscene key and add the inventory item. There were players who "lose" items when the game or character dialogue is abruptly closed. But unfortunately, the bug continues to occur.

Bug fixes are usually implemented through a new game version/update. Unfortunately, Big Fish Games owns the license to the Antique Road Trip series and has decided to no longer continue them with us, thus no more further updates to this game will be made.

For the full announcement, please visit the Big Fish Games forum:

We are very sorry that this issue is preventing you from completing other quests. In the meantime, you can also play Picky Shopper mode so that all hidden objects will only be from the main scene, and not the miniscenes. Since there is no way to force the scene to play in a specific mode, you would need to play and close it again until it opens in your preferred mode. Sadly, this means you'll need to use energy every time you visit the scene.

Again, our apologies for all the trouble caused.
