Build Notes 2015.10.22
  • The hero unit stack limits have been removed and changed into a global supply limit. You can increase your supply limit by building hamlets and upgrading them.
  • You can now train units at forts. Upgrade forts to train higher grade units.
  • More city upgrades have been added, allowing you to improve your global supply limit as well as allow you to train higher grade units. The offensive and defensive bonuses from some city upgrades have also been boosted to make them more useful.
  • Heroes are now racially-tied: some heroes are only available to certain races.
  • Hero abilities have been greatly simplified; heroes have also been assigned to Warrior or Wizard classes. They enable certain cards to be drawn and played during the game.
  • Some cards are now associated to specific hero classes. You will not draw these cards if you do not already have the right class of hero awakened in-game. They may also come with additional requirements on where you can play them.
  • Enemy armies no longer reveal their size until you have an army adjacent to them.
  • Player emblems have been given a significant overhaul. This may cause your presently-configured emblem to change.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes.

  • The tutorial has been improved to be more user-friendly. Do give it a try.
  • The act of upgrading your starting city is now a hero-based action, so you would give your hero a build order (similar to the way heroes build and improve structures) to add upgrades to cities.
  • Individual city upgrades have been improved to make them more useful.
  • The main city-based interfaces for awakening heroes, training units and transferring units have been streamlined.
  • End turn rewards have been added in multiplayer mode; the faster you finish your turn, the more Gold you may be awarded.
  • The iOS build now supports 64-bit; the minimum requirement is now iOS 6.0.
  • Various multiplayer syncing and stability improvements.
  • Miscellaneous imrovements and bug fixes.

  • Game balance tweaks: The costs and supply requirements for the various basic, advanced and elite units have been tweaked.
  • A new portal structure has been introduced, allowing rapid teleportation in the same manner as the portal upgrade.
  • New cards as well as updated cards to work better with the hero class system as well as the new portal structure.
  • Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.
  • Game title was changed to "Legends of Callasia". We have yet to rename most of the ingame locs, but we're getting there.

  • Fixed a potential bug during the tutorial scenarios where Ridley and his army could become stuck and treated like a neutral faction
  • Fixed an exploit where it is possible to select heroes that do not belong to your chosen race
  • The Reset Password feature should now be working properly if you forget your login password
  • A Change Password feature has been implemented to allow you to change your login password, useful if you have reset your original password and want to change the generated one
  • The iOS build for the iPad has been cleaned up, significantly slimming down its download size
  • Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.

Build Notes 2015.12.07
  • The available maps for skirmish have been polished and balanced for beta testing.
  • Fixed a potential bug where not all turn actions may get processed during a multiplayer game.
  • Implemented a new Victory Point limit feature for skirmish and multiplayer games. Once any player reaches the scenario's VP limit, the game will end the following turn. The VP limit is displayed in the player's score on the game screen, as represented by the number after the slash.
  • Introduced the concept of Kingdoms. A Kingdom is a collection of multiple lands. If a player manages to capture all lands belonging to a Kingdom, he gains the bonuses indicated in the game.
  • Cards will now visually redden as you drag them around the map to indicate whether you can play them or not.
  • Improvements to the AI player, making it know to build structures as well as play cards.
  • Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.

  • Improved the way movement arrows are rendered to better show their destination
  • AI ability to play cards have been improved.
  • An invitation system has been implemented for the multiplayer lobby. By setting the checkbox on several players in the lobby, you can automatically invite them into a new game that you host. Only players who are currently in the lobby, or are in the main menu, will receive a prompt to accept or ignore your invites.
  • Ranked mode has been disabled pending further design considerations.
  • Fix a bug where your hero's troop quantity may become hidden.
  • Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes.

  • The skirmish screen has been streamlined, giving more useful options when starting a game and removing less useful options. Your starting position is now based on your selected colour unless the Random start position option is checked. Players can vie for the same position, and the actual positions will be assigned randomly.
  • The end of game screen has been improved, showing the game statistics once the game session has ended.
  • We have added a system of tooltips which let you gain quick tips on certain interface elements, such as the army order buttons. Simply click and hold (tap and hold on iOS) to see information on the specific button.
  • Terrain modifiers have been streamlined to a single defensive percentile modifier.
  • You can now queue up movement across several turns by dragging your hero around the map. As you do so, the number of turns necessary to reach the desired destination will be shown. Once you have committed your hero to the path, you can always cancel his orders and give him new ones.
  • A reject notice is now given in the chat window when a player rejects your game invitation.
  • When winning by Victory Points, you are required to hold your VPs for 3 turns now.
  • Miscellaneous imrovements and bug fixes.

Thank you for participating in the Legends of Callasia beta test. As you may already know, Legends of Callasia has been Greenlit on Steam and we are therefore closing the current beta in order to proceed with Steam Early Access. For the moment, Early Access will be launched on PC but more platforms will be coming soon.
